Classes - Building A Team
To help you get connected and learn about Gate City we have 4 classes that we suggest you take. They are offered at various times throughout the year.
1. STARTING POINT: Your Place In The Story
Starting Point is a 8 week conversational small group environment where people can explore faith and experience community. Starting Point groups are a safe place for people with questions about faith as well as those who want to learn about the Bible and Christianity. Groups consist of people who are curious and investigating Christianity, those who have recently started a relationship with God, or those who are reconnecting with God after being away from church for a while. 2. JOIN THE TEAM: Membership
This 4 hour class is designed to present you with a detailed explanation of the structure of the church, what we believe, and the mission and vision of our church. Questions and open dialog are encouraged. This class is taught by John Robinson, our Lead Pastor. Lunch is proviced. We will also provide childcare upon request. 2. BECOMING AN EFFECTIVE TEAM MEMBER: Discipleship
This class is the next step after "Join The Team" to help get you plugged into Gate City. This is an exciting, interactive class to increase understanding of discipleship in your sphere of influence. Journey with Bob as he grows through five stages of development. We will also help you learn practical ways to share your faith. 3. GETTING FIT TO PLAY: Maturity
This class is the next step in the four basic classes of Gate City. It focuses on the four basic habits every Christian needs to grow to spiritual maturity: Time in Gods' Word, prayer, giving, and fellowship. Sign up HERE for the next class or on the communication card with your Sunday bulletin.
